None of us need to be micromanaged or told what to do - we're all showing up every day with our own passion and mission, able to figure out what we need to be doing. This allows us to always keep costs down, which we pass along to the people who use our products and services.
In the age of AI, we believe work can and should be fun for all. The day we stop having fun at work, is the day we quit. Life is too short to spend it on products that don't inspire joy while you build or use.
We believe that our independence and autonomy is important and that taking outside money puts us at risk of deviating from our values. Our operations are fully funded by the members and customers of Nano, now and forever. We may never become billionaires, but we will always be able to look at ourselves in the mirror.
Our stance on AI is that it is a wonderful tool, but not when it comes to visual arts. Whenever we have a need for creative assets like images, videos, or else inside our products we will hire human artists to create it with us.
